Chili Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
24 large tomatoes €” peeled and chopped
8 medium cooking onions €” chopped
1 sweet red pepper €” chopped
1 green pepper €” chopped
2 c. celery, chopped finely
1/2 c. pickling salt
3 c. white sugar
2 c. vinegar
1/4 tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
Directions
1. Prepare vegetables and place in a large kettle.
2. Add remaining ingredients, and combine well.
3. Boil at least 3 hours, stirring often.
4. When desired thickness, pour into sterilized jars, and seal.
