Chili Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Cooked black beans | 1 Cup (16 tbs), drained | |
| Fat | 2 Can (10oz) | |
| Corn kernels | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), frozen | |
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Corn meal | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Topping) | |
| Whole wheat flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Topping) | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon (Topping) | |
| Low fat buttermilk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Topping) | |
| Egg whites | 2 (Topping) | |
| Honey | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Topping) |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Set the oven temperature to 350°F before baking.
MAKING
2) In a small bowl, mash black beans with a fork.
3) In a 1 1/2 quart square baking dish, mix together canned chili, mashed black beans, corn and chopped onion.
4) In a small bowl, blend topping ingredients together with a fork.
5) Use this to top the chili mixture and bake for 35-40 minutes in the center of the preheated oven until topping is set and well browned.

6) Serve hot.
