Chili mac Recipe
This Chili Mac recipe is one of the gems from my family cookbook. You can serve Chili Mac as a yummy Main Dish. If you have a lot of Pasta on hand then you know its time to make some Chili Mac. Was it you or the fragrance of Chili Mac that you are cooking that has dragged me to the kitchen?, were my husband's words.
Ingredients
Italian Spaghetti Sauce
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 tablespoon chili powder
4 cups hot cooked macaroni
Directions
Forty five minutes before serving, remove one 1 quart container Italian Spaghetti Sauce from freezer; dip container into very hot water just to loosen.
Place reserved bean liquid and frozen block in 3 quart saucepan.
Cover tightly; heat over medium heat, turning occasionally, 20 to 30 minutes.
Reduce heat; stir in beans and chili powder.
Simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
