Chili Con Queso Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup minced onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (4 ounces) green chili, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco (or more, to taste)
1 cup large curd cottage cheese
1/2 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
Cook onion in butter until tender but not brown.
Add tomato sauce, chopped chili and salt.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in Tabasco, cottage cheese and grated Cheddar cheese; cook slowly until Cheddar cheese melts.
