 Beef - 1 pound, grounded
 Onions - 2 medium-size, coarsely chopped
 Celery - 1 cup, coarsely chopped
 Green peppers - 1/2 cup, coarsley chopped including seeds

 Tomatoes - 2 cups, coarsely chopped

 Chili powder1 Tablespoon
 Cayenne pepper - a dash
 Kidney beans2 Cup (16 tbs)

GETTING READY
1) Prepare the ingredients.

MAKING
2) Using a heavy skillet, saute beef, onions, celery, green peppers, and garlic in oil.
3) Add tomatoes, tomato puree, and catsup.
4) Season the ingredients, cover the skillet and simmer about 30 minutes.
5) Add beans, adjust seasoning, and continue to simmer 10 to 15 minutes longer.

SERVING
6) Serve the chili con carne over brown rice or in whole wheat pita pockets.
