Vegetarian Chili Con Carne Recipe
Ingredients
| Onions - 3 yellow, chopped | ||
| Green peppers | 2 To taste | |
| Corn oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cooked fava or kidney beans - 3 cups | ||
| Tomato puree | 3 1/2 | |
| Garlic | 6 Clove (5gm) | |
| Chili powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cumin powder | 2 Tablespoon | |

Directions
GETTING READY
1) Chop onion and peppers.
2) Mince garlic.
MAKING
3) In a large pot, heat the oil and saute onion and peppers.
4) Add few drops of water, if required to prevent scorching.
5) Add beans and remaining ingredients.
6) Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
SERVING
7) Serve the chili con carne as main dish with tortillas or bread.
8) You may use it as a taco filling as well.
