Beefy Chili Con Carne Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound red, pink, or pinto beans, washed and drained | ||
| Water | 6 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/3 cup chopped beef suet | ||
| Onions | 2 , chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Lean beef | 2 Pound | |
| Salt | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Chili powder | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Red pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Paprika | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Tomato juice | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Cover beans with the water, bring to boil, and boil for 2 minutes.
Let stand for 1 hour.
Cover and simmer until tender, about 2 hours.
Render beef fat in skillet, add onions and garlic, and cook until golden.
Add meat; cook until meat separates and browns, stirring with fork.
Add with remaining ingredients to beans.
Simmer, uncovered, for about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
