Chili Recipe
Chili has a different taste. The chili powder flavored beef gives the Chili a fiery taste.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can (16 ounces) stewed tomatoes
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (15 1/4 ounces) kidney beans, drained
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons parsley flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Crumble ground beef into 2-quart bowl.
Add onion.
MICROWAVE 4 to 5 MINUTES on HIGH, or until meat is no longer pink, stirring once.
Drain fat.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix well.
Cover with waxed paper or paper towel.
MICROWAVE 10 MINUTES on '8', or until hot, stirring once.
NOTE: Recipe can be doubled easily, using a 4-quart bowl.
First cooking period MICROWAVE 10 to 12 MINUTES on HIGH.
Second cooking period MICRO WAVE 15 MINUTES on HIGH, stirring twice.
For ovens without solid state heat control, during second cooking period MICROWAVE 8 MINUTES on HIGH, stirring twice.
