Chile Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Whole green chiles | 8 Ounce, peeled | |
| Monterey jack cheese | 1/4 pound, grated | |
| 5 eggs, slightly beaten | ||
| Cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| black pepper | 1 | |
Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350°R (325°F. if using a glass baking dish).
2 Butter a 10-inch pie pan. Cut chiles open and use them to line pie pan, allowing tops of chiles to come to top edge of pan.
3 Spread cheese evenly over chiles.
4 Beat eggs until frothy, using a fork or whisk; add cream and seasonings and beat together. Pour into the chile-lined pan.
5 Bake for 30 minutes, or until eggs are set and top is light golden brown.
