Chicken With Walnuts Recipe

Ingredients
4 chicken-breast halves, skinned, boned, and cut into 3/4inch cubes
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup English walnuts
1 teaspoon ginger root, grated
1 clove garlic, grated
1/2 cup chicken broth or water
1 tablespoon cornstarch in
2 tablespoons cold water
1 8-ounce can bamboo shoots, drained and sliced
Directions
Marinate chicken in soy sauce and sugar in a small bowl for 20 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok and stirfry walnuts 2 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Add chicken, ginger, garlic, and the marinade to the wok and stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes, until chicken is done.
Combine the broth and cornstarch mixture.
Add to the chicken along with the bamboo shoots.
Heat and stir gently until sauce is thickened and bamboo shoots are hot.
Add walnuts and serve at once with rice.
