Chicken With Orange Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 frying chicken, cut up | ||
| Vegetable shortening | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, sliced | |
| 1/3 cup canned frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed | ||
| Water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In skillet, brown chicken on all sides in hot vegetable shortening; sprinkle with salt and paprika.
Arrange onion over chicken.
Combine juice concentrate, water, brown sugar, parsley, soy, and ginger; pour over chicken and onion.
Cover and simmer until chicken is tender, 35 to 40 minutes.
