Chicken With Hoisin Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 chicken-breast halves, boned, skinned, and cut into 3/4inch cubes | ||
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Dry sherry | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 green pepper, cut into 1/2 inch squares | ||
| Vegetable oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 pound mushrooms, cut into 1/2 inch cubes | ||
| 21/2 tablespoons hoisin sauce | ||
| Cashews | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Sprinkle the cubed chicken with cornstarch, dry sherry, and soy sauce.
Toss to coat well and set aside.
Stirfry the green pepper in the oil for 1 minute.
Push aside.
Add mushrooms.
Stirfry for 1 to 2 minutes.
Push aside.
Stirfry chicken 2 to 3 minutes, until done.
Add hoisin sauce and cashews.
Reheat and stir briefly.
Serve at once.
