Ingredients

 
Butter – 6 tablespoons
 
Flour - 8 tablespoons
 
Chicken Stock – 1 quart seasoned
 
Light Cream or Top Milk – 1 cup
 
Cooked Chicken – 3 cups, diced into 2 inch cubes
 
Ham – ½ cup, diced
 
Canned Sliced Mushrooms – 1 (6 ounce), drained
 
Celery – 1 cup, finely diced
 
Frozen Peas – 1 pack (12 ounce), thawed
 
Mashed Potatoes – 3 cups, seasoned
 
Melted Butter

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 400F

MAKING
2) Take a saucepan and melt the butter
3) Add in the flour and then slowly add in the chicken stock
4) Allow to simmer till thickened
5) Add in the cream, chicken, ham, mushrooms, celery and thawed peas and simmer for 15 minutes
6) Pour the mixture evenly into 8 greased 12 ounce casserole
7) Spoon in the mashed potatoes in crowns around the edge of the casserole
8) Brush the top with butter
9) Bake uncovered at 400F for 25 minutes till golden brown

SERVING
10) Serve hot
