Chicken Gravy Recipe
Ingredients
Roast-chicken drippings - 3 tablespoons
Flour - 3 tablespoons
Canned chicken broth - 1 1/2 cups, undiluted
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Pepper - 1/8 teaspoon
Fresh marjoram - 1 teaspoon, coarsely snipped OR Dried marjoram (optional) - 1/2 teaspoon
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Arrange the ingredients.
MAKING
2) From the roasting pan, pour off drippings.
3) Return 3 tablespoons drippings to pan.
4) Stir in flour; combine well to make a smooth paste.
5) Gradually add broth and the remaining ingredients.
6) Boil the mixture, stirring constantly.
7) At this time mixture will be thickened and smooth.
8) Simmer, stirring, 1 minute longer.
SERVING
9) Serve the gravy hot with roast chicken.
