Chicken Chasseur Recipe
Ingredients
| Frying chicken - 2 1/2-pound | ||
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Green onions | 4 | |
| Mushrooms - 1/4 pound, sliced thick | ||
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dry white wine | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomatoes | 2 Medium, diced | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
MAKING
1) Cut the chicken into serving pieces.
2) In a bag, add flour, salt, pepper and thyme.
3) Add in the pieces of chicken and shake well to coat the chicken with flour.
4) In a skillet, heat the butter.
5) Brown the pieces of chicken on all sides.
6) Add in the onions and mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes.
7) In a bowl, add lemon juice, sugar, salt and wine and pour over the chicken.
8) Place a lid and simmer for 5 minutes over low coals.
9) Add in the tomatoes.
10) Allow to slowly cook, covered tightly, for about 30 minutes, till the chicken is tender.
SERVING
11) Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
