Chicken Casserole Recipe
Believe me when I say that you must try this Chicken Casserole. Chicken is the main ingredient in this Chicken Casserole. Chicken Casserole served as Side Dish is the best food to pep me up. I will look forward to your feedback.
Ingredients
3 cups soft bread cubes
1 cup cut-up cooked chicken or turkey
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and very well drained
3/4 cup dairy sour cream
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 medium clove garlic, finely chopped
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
3 eggs, separated
3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon poppy seed
Directions
Heat oven to 350°.
Mix 1 1 1/2 cups of the bread cubes, the chicken, spinach, sour cream, mushrooms, onion, garlic, salt, mustard and egg yolks.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry; fold into chicken mixture.
Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Toss remaining bread cubes, the margarine and poppy seed; sprinkle over chicken mixture.
Cook uncovered in 350° oven until center is set and top is golden, about 45 minutes.
