Chicken Braised In Wine Recipe

Ingredients
2 1/2 to 3 pounds frying chicken, cut in serving pieces
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 medium onion, sliced
4 green onions with tops, sliced
1 clove garlic, pressed or finely chopped
3 large carrots, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon parsley
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1 bay leaf
1 cup white or red wine
1 can (4-ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Coat chicken pieces thoroughly with flour.
Set aside.
Combine butter, onion, green onion, garlic and carrots in 3-quart casserole.
Place chicken on top.
Sprinkle with parsley, thyme and oregano.
Add bay leaf and wine.
Cover.
Microwave 25 to 30 minutes on HIGH, stirring once.
Add mushrooms.
Cover.
Microwave 3 to 5 minutes on HIGH, or until chicken and carrots are tender.
Remove bay leaf and stir in salt before serving.
