Chicken And Pineapple Pie Recipe

Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup light cream
Salt and pepper
4 slices bacon
1 can (about 8 ounces) pineapple cubes
1 cup cooked peas (or 1 package frozen)
1 cup diced cooked chicken
1 baked 8- or 9-inch pie shell (Basic Pastry)
Directions
Heat butter.
Stir in flour; cook 1 minute.
Add milk; whisk until smooth.
Add cream and seasoning.
Chop bacon; fry until crisp.
Add to sauce.
Drain pineapple (reserve some cubes for decoration); add to sauce.
Add peas and chicken; mix well.
Season to taste.
Pour into pastry shell.
Decorate with remaining pineapple.
Put into preheated 375 °F oven just long enough for pastry shell to heat through.
