Ingredients

 
1 package (8 ounces) medium noodles
 
1 package (9 ounces) frozen onions in cream sauce
 
2 cans condensed golden mushroom soup
 
1 package (10 ounces) frozen green peas
 
4 chicken breasts (about 12 ounces each)
 
Chopped pistachio nuts (optional)

Directions

Cook noodles, following label directions; drain.
Combine with onions and 1 can of the mushroom soup in a greased shallow 12-cup baking dish; sprinkle with peas.
While noodles cook, pull skin from chicken breasts; cut each in half.
Arrange in a single layer over peas; spread with remaining can of soup; cover.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) 1 1/2 hours, or until chicken is tender and sauce is bubbly.
Garnish with chopped pistachio nuts, if you wish.
