Macaroni shells - 1/2 pound
 
Hot scalded milk - 2 cups
 
Mixed vegetables - 1 can (no. 2)
 
Cooked or canned chicken - 1 cup, diced
 
Mushroom sauce – 1 can (8-ounce)
 
Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
 
Salt or seasoned salt - 1 teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven at 450°F

MAKING
2. In a buttered 2-quart casserole combine raw macaroni and hot milk and let it stand with cover for 5 minutes.
3. Add liquid from vegetables, chicken, mushroom sauce, cheese and salt to taste.
4. With cover, bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven and stir in vegetables.
5. Reduce heat to 375 °f and continue to bake, covered, for 20 minutes.

SERVING
6. Serve the macaroni shell hash with garnish as desired.
