New Orleans Chicken Soup Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup diced cooked ham
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/8 teaspoon leaf thyme, crushed
Generous dash poultry seasoning
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3 cans (10 1/2 ounces each) condensed chicken gumbo soup
3 soup cans water
1 cup cubed cooked chicken
1 package (10 ounces) frozen asparagus cuts, cooked and drained
Directions
In large pan, lightly brown ham and cook onion with thyme and poultry seasoning in butter until tender.
Add remaining ingredients.
Heat; stir now and then.
