Chicken Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients
3 pound chicken cut into serving pieces
3 medium onions, chopped
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
8 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup cold water
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups boiling water
Dash cinnamon, clove, and allspice
1 cup raw rice
Directions
Brown chicken in 4 tablespoons of the butter with salt and pepper and spices.
Add onions and brown.
Add tomato paste and the cold water.
Cover and simmer until chicken is tender.
Add boiling water.
Stir in rice, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
When ready to serve, heat remaining butter until it turns brown and pour over chicken and rice.
