 Tart apple1 , pared and diced
 Cooked diced carrots1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Stalk celery1 , diced
 Onions2 Small, chopped
 Garlic1 Clove (5 gm), minced
 Butter/Margarine1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
 Flour2 Tablespoon
 Curry powder1 Teaspoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Dry mustard1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Sage1⁄8 Teaspoon
 Chicken broth1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
 Bay leaf1
 Diced cooked chicken3 Cup (48 tbs)
 Light cream1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Chopped chutney2 Tablespoon
 Rice ring1


Cook and stir apple, carrots, celery, onions, and garlic in butter 5 min.
Remove from heat.
Mix flour with curry powder, salt, mustard, and sage; stir into butter mixture.
Cook, stirring until mixture is bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in chicken broth.
Add bay leaf.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 min.
Stir in chicken, cream, and chutney; heat through.
Remove bay leaf.
Serve in Rice Ring.
