Chicken In Wine Sauce With Bacon Recipe
Ingredients
| Bacon Slices | 4 , chopped | |
| 1 cup carrots cut into matchstick-thin strips | ||
| 1 pouch Onion Mushroom Soup and Recipe Mix | ||
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup Chablis or other dry white wine | ||
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 4 skinless boneless chicken breast halves (about 1 pound) | ||
Directions
1. Place bacon in 3-quart microwave-safe casserole. Cover with paper towel; microwave on high 3 minutes or until crisp, stirring once during cooking. Remove bacon to paper towels, reserving drippings in casserole.
2. Add carrots to drippings. Cover with lid; microwave on high 3 minutes or until carrots are tender. Stir in soup mix, water, wine and pepper until well blended.
3. Add chicken breasts, placing thicker portions toward edge of dish. Cover; microwave on high 10 minutes or until chicken is nearly done, rearranging chicken once during cooking. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center. Sprinkle with reserved bacon.
