Chicken In Tomatillo Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Chicken pieces | 6 | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Oil | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1/2 Medium, chopped | |
| Garlic | 8 Clove (5gm), chopped | |
| 6 canned or dried chipotle chilies, chopped | ||
| Tomatillos | 20 , chopped | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cilantro | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
Rinse chicken and pat dry.
Combine with flour, salt and pepper in plastic bag; shake to coat chicken well.
Fry chicken in heated oil in large skillet until golden brown.
Add onion and garlic.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Add chipotle chilies and tomatillos; mix well.
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Add water and cilantro.
Simmer for 1 hour or until chicken is tender and tomatillos are of desired consistency for sauce.
Serve with warm corn tortillas.
