Chicken in Patty Shells Recipe
Ingredients
| Patty package | 1 , frozen | |
| Whole chicken breasts - 3 , boned and skinned (1 1/2 lb) | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Condensed cream-of-chicken soup - 1 can (10 3/4 oz) | ||
| Dry sherry | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Heavy cream | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salted peanuts or almonds - 1/2 cup | ||
| Chives | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
MAKING
1 As per the package directions, bake patty shells.
2 In the meanwhile, cut chicken breasts into 2-inch pieces.
3 In a Dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons butter .
4 Add in chicken and cook over medium heat, covered and stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
5 Add undiluted cream-of-chicken soup, sherry, cream, salted peanuts and chives; bring to a boil, stirring.
6 Reduce the heat, and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes.
SERVING
7 Serve in patty shells.
