Chicken in Cherry Ale Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Hazelnuts | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Whole chicken breast -1, skinned, boned, and halved | ||
| Iambic cherry ale -6 ounces | ||
| Cherries | 8 Ounce, rinsed | |
| Thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Creme fraiche -1/4 cup, or sour cream | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) In a saucepan, heat butter till frothy.
2) Mix in nuts and sauté for 5 minutes.
3) Add chicken and brown on all sides.
4) Add in ale, place lid and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
5) Add in cherries and thyme to the chicken, Take off lid and cook for 3 to 5 minutes more till cherries are well heated.
6) Remove chicken and arrange on 2 plates.
7) Using a slotted spoon, remove the cherries and place half to one side of each chicken piece and keep warm in heated oven.
8) In the pan juices, mix in creme fraiche and stir over medium heat till the sauce is bubbling and cream is melted.
SERVING
9) Add onto a plate beside chicken and top with fresh cherries.
