 Onions6 , sliced
 Celery3 Quart, sliced
 Shortening3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Bean sprouts7 Can (10oz)
 Cooked chicken2 1/2 Quart, finley diced
 12 chicken-bouillon cubes
 Hot water2 1/4 Quart
 Soy sauce3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cornstarch3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cold water1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 6 cups packaged precooked rice
 Chow-mein noodles
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

Cook onion and celery in shortening in large kettle for 10 minutes.
Add bean sprouts and liquid, chicken, and bouillon dissolved in hot water.
Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add soy sauce.
Stir in cornstarch blended with cold water.
Cook, stirring, until thickened.
Season and serve rice prepared as directed on package, and noodles.
