Simple Chicken Gumbo With Parsley Recipe
Ingredients
| Cooked chicken | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz), undrained | |
| Okra package | 1 , frozen | |
| 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken bouillon | ||
| Onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Jalapeno pepper | 1 To taste, seeded | |
| Parsley | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Dried thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Rice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked | |
Directions
1. Brown chicken in oil in large saucepan.
2. Add all ingredients except rice.
3. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
4. Add rice and cook 25 minutes more until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
