Chicken Grilled With Orange Juice Recipe
Ingredients
| 750 g/1 1/2 lb chicken | ||
| Cornstarch | 2 Teaspoon | |
| MARINADE | ||
| Lemon juice | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Orange juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 10 cloves garlic chopped fine or minced | ||
| 2 tsp tabasco or chilli sauce | ||
| Coriander/ cilantro | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Peppercorns | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Wash and pat dry the chicken pieces on a kitchen towel.
Make 2 incisions on each piece.
Mix all ingredients of the marinade.
Marinate chicken in it for 6-8 hours turning over chicken pieces 2-3 times in between.
Oil the barbecue plate.
Preheat barbecue to medium heat.
Drain chicken and reserve marinade.
Sprinkle some more pepper on chicken.
Cook the chicken on the lightly oiled barbecue, brushing frequently with marinade for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
Place chicken pieces on a serving dish.
Mix 2 tsp cornstarch to the remaining marinade.
Give 2-3 boils till a thick sauce is ready.
Pour over the prepared chicken and serve hot along with some salad and steamed vegetables.
