Chicken Fried Steak Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound beef top round steak, cut 1/2 inch thick
Salt
1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon milk
3/4 cup finely crushed saltine crackers
1 tablespoon cooking oil
Directions
Pound round steak till 1/4 inch thick.
Cut in 4 serving-size pieces.
Sprinkle with salt.
Mix egg and milk in pie plate.
Dip meat in egg, then in cracker crumbs.
Meanwhile, preheat Meal Browner browning dish at HIGH for 5 minutes.
Add oil to browning dish.
Cook steak in browning dish, covered, at HIGH for 2 minutes.
Turn steak.
Cook, covered, in browning dish at MEDIUM (5) for 15 minutes or till tender.
Cut in 4 serving-size pieces.
