French Chicken Cordon Bleu and Peppercorn Sauce Recipe Video
Chicken cordon bleu is a French dish. This dish was developed by chefs in US, taking inspiration from stuffed meat dishes of Europe. Chicken cordon bleu dish has chicken, cheese and is dredged in breadcrumbs.

6 Boneless chicken breats
1 sliced ham
1 sliced swiss cheese
1 c breadcrumbs
1 egg beaten
2 tbsp butter
Ingredients for pepper sauce
1 tsp olive oil
1-2 shallots finely chopped
1/4 c cognac
1 c beef/chicken broth
1 tbsp flour
2 tbsp peppercorns
2 tbsp heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Insert a knife in a chicken breast and cut it half from inside.
2. Roll the ham and cheese together and then stuff them inside the chicken.
3. Dip chicken in eggs and breadcrumbs.
4. Saute them until brown.
5. Lay them on a baking sheet and bake them for 10-15 minutes at 375 F.
6. To make pepper sauce, heat olive oil and saute a shallot until golden brown.
7. Add cognac, beef broth and chicken broth. Stir and bring to boil.
8. Add flour and chicken broth mixture. Stir it.
9. Simmer until thick. Add peppercorns, black pepper, heavy cream. Remove from heat.
10. Serve the chicken breasts with pepper sauce.
