Best Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe

My French aunt taught me how to make Chicken Cordon Bleu, she said this is a very popular French dish. The delicious French Chicken Cordon Bleu is mostly prepared with Chicken as the main ingredient. Ingredients

 
4 part boned chicken breasts, skinned
 
4 fatty bacon slices, rinds removed, and finely chopped
 
1/2 cup finely chopped button mushrooms
 
1 teaspoon chopped parsley
 
Salt and pepper
 
1/4 cup all purpose flour
 
1/4 cup butter
 
4 Gouda cheese slices
 
Fresh parsley to garnish

Directions

1 Cut a 'pocket' in each piece of chicken.
2 To prepare the filling: put the bacon in an ovenproof glass jug and microwave on full power for 1 1/2 minutes.
3 Stir in the mushrooms and parsley, and season with salt and pepper.
4 Use the filling to stuff each chicken breast, then coat them with flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
5 Put the butter in a 30 x 20 x 5cm/ 12x8x2 inch ovenproof glass dish, and microwave on full power for 1 1/2 minutes.
6 Stand the chicken pieces in the dish and brush with melted butter. Cover with plastic wrap, and pierce.
7 Microwave on power 7 for 7 minutes. Rearrange the chicken pieces.
8 Baste the chicken, cover again with plastic wrap and microwave on power 7 for 7 minutes.
9 Remove the plastic wrap and put the chicken on a serving dish.
10 Wrap one cheese slice round each piece of chicken.
11 Microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Serve garnished with parsley.
