Chinese Chicken Chow Mein Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups celery, cut into matchstick pieces | ||
| Onion flakes | 2 Tablespoon, dehydrated | |
| Boiling water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 envelope instant chicken broth and seasoning mix | ||
| Bean sprouts | 1 Cup (16 tbs), rinsed | |
| 1/2 cup cooked or canned mushrooms | ||
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 6 ounces cooked, skinned and boned chicken, diced | ||
| 1/2 cup Chinese "Fried" Noodles | ||
| 1 teaspoon dry mustard, mixed to a paste with water | ||
Directions
In shallow saucepan, "water-fry" celery and onion flakes in 1 cup of the water containing broth mix.
When celery is soft and water evaporated, add bean sprouts, mushrooms, soy sauce and remaining boiling water.
Heat gently, then turn off heat and add diced chicken.
Mix thoroughly.
Serve with "Fried" Noodles and English mustard (let paste stand 10 minutes).
