Chicken Chop Suey Recipe
This Chicken Chop Suey is incredible !This stewed beef and vegetables dish can be had as an accompaniment with rice and pasta. You can always add some spaghetti to this Chicken Chop Suey and eat it as an independent dish.
Ingredients
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons oil
2 cups cooked chicken, cut in one inch strips
2 cups chicken stock
2 tablespoons tamari soy sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
1 cup fresh sprouts
Directions
In heavy bottom pot (or Chinese wok), saute onion, celery, green pepper and mushrooms in oil until just tender.
Add chicken, chicken stock and tamari soy sauce, and simmer (stirring constantly).
Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and add gradually, stirring until cornstarch mixture is cooked and chop suey is thickened.
Add raw bean sprouts just before serving.
