Ingredients

 Cooked chicken2 Cup (16 tbs), finley diced
 Mayonnaise1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Shallots2 Large, minced
 Dried basil1/4 Teaspoon, crumbled
 Dried thyme1/4 Teaspoon, crumbled
 Ground pepper1 To taste
 1/2 to 3/4 cup grated Fontina, Gruyere or Swiss cheese
 Parmesan cheese1/2 Cup (16 tbs), grated
 Very thin slices of rye bread
 Salt To Taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine first 3 ingredients in medium bowl.
Blend in herbs and seasonings.
Add Fontina, Gruyere or Swiss cheese and 2 tablespoons Parmesan, blending well.
Slice bread in half.
Spread mixture evenly over tops.
Arrange on baking sheet.
Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan and bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
