Chicken Cacciatore Recipe

8 ounces uncooked pasta
1 can (15 ounces) chunky Italian-style tomato sauce
1 cup sliced onion
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
Nonstick cooking spray
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
Salt and pepper
Directions
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
While pasta is cooking, combine tomato sauce, onion, mushrooms and bell pepper in microwavable dish.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap or waxed paper; microwave on HIGH 6 to 8 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
Meanwhile, coat large skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken breasts 3 to 4 minutes per side or until lightly browned.
Add sauce mixture to skillet; season with salt and pepper.
Reduce heat to medium and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
