Chicken Cacciatore With Shitake Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
| Chicken - 1 5-pound chicken, pieces | ||
| Olive oil | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1/3 , chopped | |
| Shitake mushrooms | 1/2 pound, sliced | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm) | |
| Dry white wine | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Bay leaves | 2 | |
| Basil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Tomato sauce | 5 Tablespoon | |
| Brandy | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Seasoned salt | To Taste | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a large skillet add olive oil and saute thec chiken, till it turns golden brown in color. This shall take approx 20 minutes.
2. In another skillet add butter and let it melt.
3. Add onions and mushrooms and saute it till it turns golden brown in color.
4. Add garlic with the ingredients.
5. Cook for 4 minutes.
6. Spoon the onions, mushrooms and garlic on the chicken. Add wine.
7. Add basil, pepper and bay leaves till it mixes well.
8. Simmer uncovered for 8 minutes.
9. Add tomato sauce and salt as per taste.
10. Cook the ingredients uncovered for 15 minutes.
SERVE
11.Serve Chicken Cacciatore with brandy poured on top
