Classic Italian Chicken Cacciatore Recipe
Ingredients
| Cooking oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Chicken | 2 1/2 Pound, cut into pieces | |
| Instant minced onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 chicken bouillon cube or 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon | ||
| Boiling water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomatoes | 2 Cup (16 tbs), undrained | |
| Tomato Paste | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mushrooms | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), undrained | |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground thyme | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Bay leaves | 2 | |
| Cayenne pepper | 1 Dash | |
Directions
Heat oil in large fry pan.
Add chicken and brown until golden.
Add onion; brown slightly.
Drain off excess fat.
Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water.
Add to chicken.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer, covered, for 1/2 hour.
Remove cover and simmer 1/2 hour until tender.
Serve sauce over chicken.
