Chicken, Bean, and Rice Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| Cooked brown rice | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Chicken broth | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Skim milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Cooked chicken | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), skinned | |
| Fresh or canned green beans cooked with 1 tablespoon onion flakes - 1 pound | ||
| Mushrooms | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 350° F.
MAKING
2) Take an 8-by-12-inch non-stick pan and combine parsley and rice in it.
3) Take a saucepan and mix broth, flour, salt, milk and pepper in it. Cook to form white sauce.
4) Add beans, chicken and mushrooms to the sauce and place mixture over rice.
5) Cover and bake for about 35-40 minutes.
6) You can sprinkle fresh chopped onion and bake, uncovered, for another 5 minutes, if desired.
SERVING
7) Remove from oven and serve immediately.
