 Chicken-1 fryer (3 pounds)
 Dashi- 5 cups or Clam Juice- 2 cups
 Beef broth3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soy sauce1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar5 Tablespoon
 Bamboo shoots2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Mushrooms2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced
 Potatoes2 Cup (16 tbs), diced
 Water chestnuts2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced
 Ac'cent- 1/2 teaspoon
 Beans- 1 cup, string, cut in 2-inch lengths
 Water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Remove the skin and debone the chicken.
2) Cut the chicken in 2 inches by 1 inch pieces.

MAKING
3) In a saucepan, boil together dashi or the broth, clam, chicken, soy sauce, sugar, mushrooms, potatoes, water chestnuts and Ac-€™cent.
4) Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

FINALIZING
5) In another saucepan, bring water to boil and cook beans for 4 minutes.
6) Drain and add to chicken mixture, cook for 2 minutes more.

SERVING
7) Serve hot in a deep large bowl.
