Chicken And Ham Supreme Recipe
Chicken and ham supreme is a meaty rice recipe prepared with added artichokes. Herbed with basil and swiss cheese to taste, the chicken and ham supreme is made in the microwave with pre-cooked chicken and ham cubes. Flavored with added mushroom soup poured over it, the chicken and ham supreme is garnished with parsley.
Ingredients
1 package (9 ounces) frozen artichoke hearts
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese (2 ounces)
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
2 cups cooked rice
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 cup cubed cooked ham
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
Place artichoke hearts in small microwave-safe bowl.
Cover with vented plastic wrap; microwave on HIGH 4 minutes or until heated through, stirring once during cooking.
Drain; set aside.
In small bowl, stir soup until smooth; stir in yogurt, cheese, basil and pepper.
In 8- by 8-inch microwave-safe baking dish, combine rice and 1/2 cup of the soup mixture; spread evenly in dish.
Top with chicken, ham and artichoke hearts.
Spoon remaining soup mixture over.
Cover with vented plastic wrap; microwave on HIGH 8 minutes or until heated through, rotating dish once during cooking.
Let stand, covered, 2 minutes.
Garnish with parsley.
