 Onion1 Medium, chopped
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), finley minced
 Green pepper1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Celery1 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced
 Butter3 Tablespoon
 1 can tomatoes, coarsely chopped
 Potato1 Cup (16 tbs), diced
 1 can or bottle beer
 Dried basil1 Teaspoon, crushed
 Dried oregano1 Teaspoon, crushed
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Pepper1 Dash
 Red peppers1/4 Teaspoon, crushed
 Corn kernels1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 pound salmon steaks, boned, flesh cut into cubes
 Whitefish1/4 pound, cubed
 1/4 pound smelt, boned and cubed

Directions

Saute onion, garlic, green pepper and celery in butter in a large saucepot or Dutch oven until tender, about 15 minutes.
Add tomatoes, potatoes and beer.
Add basil, oregano, salt, pepper and red peppers.
Simmer until potatoes are almost tender, about 15 minutes.
Add corn and fish.
Continue simmering about 10 minutes, or until fish is done.
