Chewy Chocolate Cookies Recipe

1 1/2 cups butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels
Directions
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at low speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.
Combine flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating just until blended.
Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate morsels.
Shape dough into 3 long rolls, 2 inches in diameter.
Wrap each roll in wax paper, and freeze at least 8 hours.
Unwrap rolls, and cut into 1/4 inch slices; place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350° for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
