Chestnut Puree Recipe
Ingredients
| Chestnuts | 2 Pound | |
| Chicken stock | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Southern Comfort- 4 tablespoons | ||
| Butter | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Score chestnuts on the soft side.
MAKING
2) Take a pot and pour cold water in it. Put the chestnuts and boil for 2 minutes. Drain the liquid ad set aside.
3) Once the chestnuts cool, peel and shell them.
4) Put the chestnuts in a saucepan and cover with stock.
5) Add sugar and Southern Comfort to it. Simmer for 45 minutes or until tender.
6) Strain and remove fuzz from chestnuts. Puree the mixture until smooth. Add heated chicken stock to make the puree thinner.
7) Finish by adding butter, salt and pepper to taste.
SERVING
8) Serve with your favorite bread and enjoy!
