Ingredients

 Water chestnuts1 1/2 Pound
 Sugar1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Powdered ginger1/2 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1 Teaspoon
 Honey1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Blanched almonds1/2 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Make a crisscross cut on top of each chestnut.
2) In a large saucepan, place water chestnuts and cover with water.
3) Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.

MAKING
4) Drain, cool and peel the chestnuts.
5) Mash the chestnuts until very smooth.
6) In a bowl, place mashed chestnuts, sugar, ginger and cinnamon. Mix well.
7) Shape into walnut-sized balls.
8) Dip in honey and roll in nuts.

SERVING
9) Serve arranged on a flat plate.
