Chestnut Chocolate Vanilla Tarts Recipe
Ingredients
| Unsweetened chocolate square | 1 | |
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 3/4 cup canned sweetened chestnut cream | ||
| Instant vanilla pudding package | 1/2 | |
| Heavy cream | ||
| 6 baked, shallow tart shells, about 4 1/2 inches in diameter | ||
| Whipped cream | ||
Directions
Melt chocolate in top part of double boiler over hot water.
Combine thoroughly with butter.
Cool.
Stir in vanilla.
Blend with sweetened chestnut cream until very smooth.
Chill.
Beat vanilla pudding and 1 cup less 1 tablespoon heavy cream until thoroughly blended and fluffy, scraping the bottom of the bowl frequently.
Chill.
Fill one half of each tart with Chestnut-Chocolate Filling and the other with Vanilla Filling.
Garnish with piped swirls of whipped cream.
