Chestnut And Sausage Meat Stuffing Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole chestnuts - 1 x 440 g or 15 1/2 oz can, drained and finely chopped | ||
| White breadcrumbs | 100 Gram | |
| Pork sausagemeat - 225 g or 1/2 lb | ||
| Butter | 50 Gram | |
| Stalk celery | 1 | |
| Onion | 1 | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| black pepper | 1 | |
| Egg | 1 | |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a bowl, put the chestnuts along with the breadcrumbs and sausagemeat.
2 Stir well to mix.
3 In a pan, melt the butter.
4 Add in the celery and onion and fry gently until soft.
5 Add to the bowl along with salt and pepper to taste.
6 Mix in the beaten egg to bind the mixture.
7 Quickly cool the mixture.
8 Transfer the cooled mixture to a rigid container.
9 Seal the conatiner, label and freeze.
SERVING
10 Thaw in the refrigerator over-overnight.
11 Use like the fresh stuffing.
