Ingredients

 Butter1 Pound
 White sugar2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs6
 Flour4 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder2 Teaspoon
 Milk3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 1/4 lb. citron peel
 1 small bottle each red and green cherries, drained
 4 cups raisins, boiled, drained, well dried and floured using part of the 4 1/2 cups

Directions

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add flour mixed with baking powder, alternately with milk.
Add vanilla and fruit.
Pour into 2 large greased loaf pans and bake at 300° for about 2 hours.
Keeps well and freezes too.
