Cherry Plum Jam Recipe
Cherry Plum Jam is a nutritious and tasty jam that you just cant miss. I first served this as an experiment and now it’s a family favorite. You will definitely love this Cherry Plum Jam recipe
Ingredients
| 2 lbs. dark sweet cherries | ||
| 10 medium sized red plums | ||
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | ||
| Powdered fruit pectin | 1 box | |
Directions
Rinse, stem, halve, and pit the cherries.
(There should be about 1 quart.) Rinse, halve, and pit the plums.
(There should be about 3 1/2 cups.) Mix fruits, water, and lemon juice in a kettle.
Bring to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat and cook gently 3 minutes.
Remove from heat; measure mixture and return to kettle.
For each cup of cooked fruit, add an equal amount of sugar.
Stir until thoroughly blended.
Stir in the pectin and return to heat.
Bring rapidly to full rolling boil, stirring constantly; boil and stir 2 minutes.
Remove from heat; skim off any foam.
Ladle into hot sterilized jars and seal
